ITIL® – MALC – Managing Across the Lifecycle course

Course: Open for all meeting the prerequisites
Certificate: ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management Certificate
Prerequisites: Min. 17 credits in the ITIL® Qualification Scheme.
Number of participants: 4-12
Duration: 5 days, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Aarhus or Copenhagen, Denmark.
Exam: 2 hrs. (+30 min if English is not your native language) “closed book” exam of a multiple-choice, scenario based, gradient-scored paper of 10 questions. To pass the exam, you must have min. 35 marks out of a max. 50 marks (70%). Bring your own PC to the exam.
Before the exam, documentation (certificates) giving a min. 17 credits will be checked.
Gives + 5 credits. Together with the prerequisite of 17, you’ll have the needed 22 for ITIL® Expert.
Price: 17.900 Dkr. excl. Danish VAT, but incl. materials, exam, lunch, coffee/tea.

Cancellation/refund policy:

The course will be held when there is a minimum of 4 confirmed participants 2 weeks before the course. Up to this date, there’s no fee for cancellation.

If you cancel your participation after this date, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the price. The cancellation fee is 100% of the price 1 week before start of the course. Courses can’t be swapped between individuals, as sign-up for exam is personal.

If the course is cancelled due to too few participants, the full payment will be refunded.

You’ll learn about the following topics:

  • Key concepts of the ITIL® Lifecycle
  • Communication and stakeholder management
  • Integrating service management processes across the service lifecycle
  • Managing services across the service lifecycle
  • Governance and organisation

After the course, you should be able to:

  • Implement, improve and operate all, or part, of the ITIL® framework and adapting it to your organisation.
  • Understand how all the processes across the lifecycle interact.
  • Take the exam to become a certified ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management.

The purpose of the course is to consolidate the knowledge obtained through the Capability- and Lifecycle-courses, and to give you the knowledge and ability to take an overall responsibility for implementing the ITIL®-Framework in your organisation.

The Management Across the Life Cycle course focuses on the business and management aspects of the
Lifecycle and Capability modules. The course covers purpose, processes, functions and activities in the ITIL® Service Lifecycle.

You should attend if:

  • Going to be responsible for ITIL® implementation
  • Want to be certified as an ITIL® Expert
  • Want to be an IT Service Management consultant

The course is a mix of lectures, groupwork and homework, and includes a mock exam. The course is quite intensive, and you should expect a fair amount of preparation and several hours of daily homework during the course.
